  • Dual Trace
  • ~18 valves
  • Bandwidth ~ 5MHz (estimated from
    available timebase switches)
  • Original cost unknown.
NOTES

Another old and darn heavy British scope from Solatron.

Fitted with two CX1270 wideband amplifiers, each containing just three valves - and no transistors ! Basic stuff. The third plug-in is a CX1272 timebase, with just seven valves but over a dozen trimmers of various types ; at least it looks like the trimmers are all accessible with the unit plugged into the scope, unlike the Y-amps whose access isn't brilliant even with teh plug-in sat on the bench.

Oh, and did I mention there are a number of H*nts capacitors ?

SERVICE
DATA
Nope :-(
CURRENT
STATE
It was filthy but several hours scrubbing the case with an old toothbrush and some soapy water has worked wonders. I think attending to them H8nts might be wise before shoving 240 up it though.
WHERE
FOUND
A donation form "Chris". He has a mild form of Jonitus - buying stuff first, then thinking about where the hell to put it ! Apparently came from a Radiophile auction for next to nothing.
