NOTES Not Ebay art-deco but real art-deco.

This was the first Ferranti set to to wear the "Gloria" name, with several more versions appearing over the following couple of years. The later sets were equipped with one less valve but included a clock !

Today, shops have to lable coffee with "Warning : Hot contents" just in case a prize burk doesn't realise it. However in the 30's it was assumed that people had a brain and wouldn't stick their fingers in amongst high voltages, hence it was not necessary to fit this set with a protective back.
SERVICE DATA A circuit diagram came with the set although this was for a later 6-valve version.
CURRENT STATE Cabinet has been refinished (and a nice job too) and the insides look pretty much untouched, save the odd replacement valve. However, judging by the temporary speaker cloth someone has a large circular hole in their 70's pajamas !
WHERE FOUND Off a mate for a ton.
