"The picture on our front cover shows part of the process of welding the metal flare to the glass face of a Mullard 15-in. Television Picture Tube MW41-1.
This wide-angle tube presents one solution to the problem of larger pictures without excessive increase in cabinet weight and bulk. It reduces by 8 per cent the cabinet space occupied by the tube per square inch of effective picture area."
