Note 1 : Suspected to use a Plessey
chassis.
The company apparently showed five new television models at the
Northern Radio Show in 1952. The Wireless and Electrical Trader magazine (26th
April 1952) gave the following description, which presumably correspond to most
of the "52/53" models in the above table :-
"A complete new range of television receivers is being displayed
by S.R.M., who have also introduced a new 3-speed auto-radiogram with 4- band
radio and record storage. All the television models employ the company's new
5-channel 1252 chassis which incorporates 13 valves (plus metal rect.) in
a superhet circuit. A.C./D.C. technique is employed, but the cathode ray tube
has a separate transformer. A completely A.C./D.C. version of this chassis
can be supplied. E.H.T. is obtained from the line flyback, providing 10 kV
for the 12in aluminized CRM123 tube. Five models constitute the new S.R.M.
television range: a special bow front combined radiogram and 12in television
with record storage, 12in television console with bow fronted doors and 5in
speaker; 12in console television without doors; 12in console television with
2-band radio receiver at 105gns; 12in table television receiver with 6½in
permanent magnet loudspeaker."
Possible other models : RGTV/12A, TT14, TT17, TCD17.
