R.G.D. was established in 1929 and were amongst the early television manufacturers, producing expensive up-market sets. They were taken over by Regentone in 1952 but the R.G.D. brand name continued, finally being aquired (along with the Regentone brand) by STC (Kolster Brandes) in the early halfe if the 1960s.

2351 may therefore be later than 1949 the year had been presumed from an advert showing an identical
set (the advert is shown at the bottom of this page). It is possible the last two digits are the approximate
model year e.g. L2751 may have been the "1951" range introduced at the end of the previous year.
