CLARKE & SMITH |
Melbourne Road, Wallington, Surrey
The company had been manufacturing radios for
use in schools for many years when, in July 1957, they released three televisions
aimed at usage in schools. There was a choice of 21", 24" and 27"
models, each mounted on an adjustable trolly and also fitted with a hood to
reduce relflections.
According to a list of approved school TV receivers published at the start of
1957 the only model listed for Clarke and Smith was the model SB/DV2A.
they would however go on to make further models, one possible model number being
the "88/12".
