PAM MODEL 804

Next : Ekco 377
  • Released circa 1961
  • 17" Mullard C.R.T
  • 15 Valves (I think)
  • A.C. / D.C. mains
  • Original cost unknown
Front view [32K]

NOTES An early 60's attempt to take full advantage of the latest wide angle C.R.T.s to make sets that at least at first sight had very little cabinet depth - though you can see from the side view illustrated below it is still a bit of a con.
There was also a larger 21" model.
SERVICE DATA The service data is available in one of the red Radio and Television Servicing books (1961 I believe).
CURRENT STATE Working, but the old C.R.T. is slightly tired and the interlace is a bit poor. But it does work.
WHERE FOUND N.V.C.F for £60. It had been shown working for at least 3 hours, good proof that nothing is seriously wrong with it - and way cheaper than the £200 unknown-quantity that some muppet on Ebay hasn't managed to sell in 2 years !
Rear View [51K]   Side view - not so slim after all [14K]
Is that all there is ?   Somewhat deeper than first
impressions might suggest.
