This is the Birmingham version of the London HMV1805 released at the start of 1949.

The leathal mains-derived E.H.T. and a quantity of large octal valves indicate this is a late 40's set. This is backed up by the "JUN 48" date marked on one of the electrolytic capactor's cans.
SERVICE DATA Nope :-(
CURRENT STATE A bit scratched but in otherwise good original condition. Inside, the substantial dust hides two rust-free chassis.
WHERE FOUND The "watery skip" antique shop for £56.
