Front View [13K]

  • Circa 1960
  • Covers 10Hz to 10MHz in four ranges
  • 1% typical distortion
  • 14 assorted valves plus 3 transistors.
NOTES An extremely well built unit that must have cost its original owners an absolute packet!.

Based around a wein bridge oscillator circuit with a cathode follower output stage.

The 3 transistors are used to regulate the D.C. supply for the filaments of the wein bridge oscillator valves.
SERVICE DATA Came with the original service manual (reference EB1370).
CURRENT STATE Immaculate inside and out. However, although claimed to be working when I bought it an initial visual inspection revealed an ominous bulge on one of the 500V electrolytics which will need to be replaced.
