Originally I thought the set was probably a bit of a lemon as the dial glass is actually from an Emston (never heard of that make before). However I have since seen a couple more of these sets both with the same glass so I guess it's original after all. The control knobs are painted but look very close to the original (which is illustrated on page 175 of the book "Radio! Radio").

One of the valves is clearly not original, being mounted on an additional socket which is hard wired into the original socket.

The set can be run from 110v mains by replacing the barretter with a shorting link.

CURRENT STATE Looks in good condition, but would you switch it on with the wiring of that valve in the middle ?
