This little savings bank holds enough old 6d pieces to make a pound, for use to buy a TV or radio
licence. It is a little difficult to date this item - the television licence (which included the radio licence)
was introduced in 1946 and started at two pounds, whilst the radio licence itself was one pound right up until
the mid-60's. If I were a gambling man I'd say it just looks mid-50's, but that is purely a guess.
